Dr. Arun Kumar Ponna is a senior consultant Nephrologist with over 11 years of experience, with strong clinical background on kidney care and hypertension, built through advanced training in India and Canada. He believes in providing compassionate, personalised and world – class kidney care.
Dr. Arun completed his medical training at Osmania Hospital, Hyderabad. He further pursued advanced fellowship in Dialysis, Kidney Transplantation, Renal Hypertension, and Critical Care Nephrology at The Ottawa Hospital, Canada — one of North America’s largest renal programs, managing nearly 600 chronic dialysis patients and over 1,000 kidney transplant recipients.
After returning to India, Dr. Arun worked at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, managed complex kidney disease and high-risk kidney transplant cases, advanced and ICU dialysis care, complex/resistant hypertension.
He currently provides comprehensive, transplant-focused kidney care services at STAR Hospitals, Nanakramguda.
